Robotic Surgeon

are you in favor of Robotic Surgery?
i just want to know your opinion (pls provide long answers if possible). and what is your opinion also about professional surgeon but now are using robotic surgery? wouldn’t that degrade their ability as a surgeon? i mean you can just learn how to manipulate this robot thing and you can be a surgeon. wouldn’t that be fair?
I am all for it. A ‘robotic surgeon’ is nothing more than a mechanical extension to the real surgeons own body. It simply allows the surgeon to perform much more precise procedures. meaning far less chance of mistakes and accidents. (No more problems with shaky hands, and large hand motions can be translated mechanically to very precise, sub-millimeter operations).
Just learning to control the robotic arms is no substitute for a a properly trained surgeon either. These robotic arms will not work by themselves, and have absolutely no medical knowledge themselves They simply do what the surgeon tells them to do. So without a skilled surgeon operating the robot, it is nothing more than a fancy, expensive can opener.
