When can I get back to exercise after Laparoscopic hernia repair surgery? Will it be harmfull to exercise?
I’ve used to exercise cardio & strength exercises regularly at the gym. I’ve performed laparoscopic hernia repair surgery 3 weeks ago & I’m feeling ok now. Will it be harmfull to get back to exercise now?
The benefit of Laparoscopic Surgery eliminates the need for a long recovery from a huge incision, however the tissues of your hernia repair will still need to heal as long as with the open-kind of surgery–that cannot be sped up.
Your surgeon would know just when you are ready to resume your normal exercise routine. He or she is the one who worked on you and we on the internet do not have the benefit of that information–your doctor is your best bet because everyone is different.
